Thank you to all of our alumni, faculty, current students, and friends who attended our 100th anniversary opening event in Chicago. With over 200 people in attendance, the reception provided an unprecedented opportunity for reconnecting and networking for our Department of Urban and Regional Planning community.
The photographs from the event, taken by Casey Merchant, BAUP 2012, have now been posted on our flickr site. If you have any photographs you would like to share with us from the event, please contact us via PLAN100@illinois.edu.
The slide show shown at the reception is now posted as well. Please also refer to our Department Milestones and Faculty Timeline pages for additional images and historic documents such as our Alumni News series which are posted by year. If you have any photographs, missing Alumni News, or other documents you would like to share with us, please let us know.
In celebration of our 100th anniversary, we have organized a year-long lecture series in urban and planning history. Prominent scholars from both the UIUC campus and other universities will be presenting their research.
