Welcome to the Student Planning Organization
of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University
of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
SPO's mission is to provide a vehicle
for communication between staff, faculty and students in the planning
program, provide forums for workshops and discussions, and organize
social events for the department.
Spring Semester is well underway. Check out what SPO has been up to
News & Events
- Vist the SPO's table at Quad Day 2008! We will be distributing information about the SPO and urban/regional planning in general. Quad Day is on Sunday, August 25th from noon to 5:00 pm on the main quad.
- Coming fall 2008: SPO plans on holding a new student welcome barbecue (for new DURP students), and also in the works is a trip to a midwestern city. Watch for more information here as it becomes available!
- Urbanista shirts are now available! The cost is $15. Please see a member of the SPO board to purchase a shirt, or attend our next meeting, where they will be for sale. Proceeds from the sale of these shirts go toward SPO events and conference costs.
