Lew Hopkins Named ACSP Distinguished Educator
Lew Hopkins was named an ACSP Distinguished Educator at the American Collegiate Schools of Planning Conference held in Milwaukee on October 18-21, 2007. ACSP Distinguished Educators, selected from nominations submitted by member schools, are faculty that have demonstrated extraordinary achievement in the following areas:
- Scholarship, as evidenced in publications and presentations, seminal work, and externally funded applied and basic research;
- Teaching, as evidenced in awards, teaching evaluations, reference of colleagues, and references of current and former students;
- Service, as evidenced through twenty years or more of contributions to APA, AICP, and ACSP, state chapters of APA,
and other professional and academic organizations; through active engagement in local, state, federal commissions and
agencies as policy advisors; and in contributions to one’s university;
- Other significant contributions that have made a substantial difference to planning education and/or practice.
