Doctor of Philosophy in Regional Planning
We welcome your visit to DURP! While you may arrange a visit to the department at your convenience with advance notice, Mondays and Fridays are best for meeting with faculty and students.
In a typical campus visit, prospective students meet with Professor Faranak Miraftab, the Ph.D. Program Director, to discuss the Ph.D. program and the admissions process. One or two current students are often available to provide a short tour of campus. Prospective students may also visit classes on Mondays (almost no DURP classes are held on Fridays), and may meet with other faculty by prior arrangement. Please contact Professor Miraftab at least 1 week prior to your arrival to request an appointment. Once your appointment has been confirmed, you may contact Jennifer Kowalski, Recruiting Specialist, to arrange a lunch with current stuents or for additional questions. More advanced notice will increase the likelihood that students and faculty will be able to meet with you. If you wish to meet with a specific member of the DURP faculty, you should coordinate that meeting directly with that person (allow plenty of advanced notice).
