Overview: |
Examines urban design theory and principles, and evaluates the built environment in a lab-based setting. Working in teams, students become immersed in real work examples and propose design interventions for specific places, including socially diverse neighborhoods in small cities and major metropolitan urban centers. Normally includes active engagement with community residents. |
