• Kate Ferrer, MUP

Kate, originally from Miami, Florida, is interested in local economic development and affordable housing.

• Aditi Kambuj, MUP

Aditi has a Master's in Architecture from The Bartlett, University College London and over four years of international professional experience specializing in housing and masterplanning. Her core interest lies in exploring the symbiosis between socio-economic and environmental sustainability in reaching solutions for the global issues of rapid urbanization, urban poverty and developmental pressures in environmentally sensitive zones. Aditi is fascinated by bottom-up, low cost and context specific planning innovations. Her other interests are hiking, travelling and art.

• Ira Mabel, MUP

Ira's interests include transnational planning, equitable community development, disaster and crisis management, and conflict resolution. A former electrical engineer and general science nerd, he is curious about the mixture of qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Originally from Boston, Ira is still a Red Sox fan, a requirement for receiving a Massachusetts birth certificate.

• Wes Maurer, MUP

Wes holds a bachelor's degree in Biology and Environmental Science and is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from South America. His interests include land use development, spatial analysis and sustainable design.

• Holly Nelson, MUP

Holly is a Champaign native and is glad to be back in the area studying the particulars of this lovely urban space. She has a BS in Civil Engineering from Valparaiso University and worked for one year in Mozambique as a water resource engineer on a dryland agriculture project. Although just about everything in planning is interesting to her, she is focusing on the intersection of land use and sustainability. In her spare time Holly loves to play sports, cook fabulous meals, or work on creative projects. You might see her biking around town, working at the Urbana Farmer's Market, or pulling weeds at the Randolph Street Community Garden.
